We're here, Mickey!

Well ... here we are. Made it to Disneyland. Look ... up in the sky ... it’s ... it’s ... why it’s ... BLUE! We thought the sky was always white grey or dark grey, and every shade of grey in between. Of course, just when we left Vancouver the sun peeked out after weeks of not seeing it. Here in Anaheim, not a cloud in the sky.

Ben was quite tired today and didn’t smile much. Maybe too much excitement. We arrived at the hotel and got to our room. Above is our view. Took a quick look around Downtown Disney and already bought some souvenirs. Man, if I see another stuffed ... whatever ... we might have to get another suit case. We went to Rainforest Café for supper and then back to the hotel. Everyone is sleeping now preparing for a busy day tomorrow. Sorry Chantelle, Wilma and Kimmis. We got busy packing and then it was too late to call. We’ll try again. The reservation worked just as planned.

Ben’s blood counts were good to go yesterday. On Monday the counts were higher than normal due to the dexamethasone. The hemoglobin was a little low and we were concerned that we might have to transfuse if they were lower on Wednesday. However, the hemoglobin was up slightly which gave us the green light.

Ben finds it difficult to walk around for long periods of time so we’ll have to look into something tomorrow. He is rather happy we’re here and can’t wait to actually go into the Disneyland park tomorrow.
